The outbreak of COVID-19 in recent times which subsequently brought about negative impacts in all aspects of all human endeavors are it health-wise, financially, socially as well as occupationally had rippling effects which have eaten deeply into the global educational fiber and as such, students have had difficult times coping with online studies. The Students’ Representative Council of Enchi College of Education and the management of the college over the week has provided students with a data package from one of Ghana’s leading telecommunications network,
Vodafone Ghana to cater to students’ daily data needs and to reduce the cost and inconveniences associated with virtual learning.
This monthly data package is convenient and cost-efficient which is aimed at providing connectivity for all students while at the same time, eliminating the financial difficulties students encounter in purchasing data bundles for their studies.
In an interview with the SRC President, Hon. Seidu Alhassan, he said, “This initiative started a few weeks ago but was materialized last week. We believe that this timely intervention will go a long way to benefit students in this era óf e-learning and more especially, as we take our online quizzes this week and the subsequent one.
There could have been any better time for this intervention than this very moment The package comes with a 2.5 Gigabyte monthly data bundle, free voice calls for all students on the package, 120 minutes voice calls to other networks, and some selected international destinations, and 50 SMS. The package is renewable until the end of September.
