PCE’S sanitation and hygiene club awarded the best group of the year by the Ghana student award.
Sanitation and Hygiene Club founded in 2019 in Ghana’s premier college, Presbyterian College of Education, Akropong-Akuapem has been awarded the best group of the year at the just ended Ghana Student Awards.
The group, which was formed a year ago is making a stride in the college and is expected to extend its boundaries to Senior High Schools and sister colleges across the Akuapem
They have been noted for keeping the PCE community and its surroundings clean.
The group has also focused on organizing seminars for the entire student body in the College by bringing sanitation personnels to educate the college community as well as going on educative trips.
The group has so far been recognized for their good works by one Hon. Akwesi Adjei Edmund who donated six dustbins to help in their sanitation activities.
In their one year journey, they had five mega cleanups in the PCE campus and organized
a breast cancer screening for both level 100 and 200 female students.
In other to continue their good works, they collaborated with Hope Clean Ghana club headed by Asiedu Prince to have another mega education and clean up exercise. Unfortunately, it couldn’t materialize due to Covid-19 restrictions.
The Ghana Student Awards was organized by Joy Foundation to award students across the country on their tremendous contributions to education.
The maiden edition took place at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly on Friday, October 09
